The reference to this play in the WIST quiz this week reminds me that it contains what I believe to be one of the most moving scenes I have come across. An old woman has six sons who are fishermen. Over the years five have died at sea. Then she hears that the sixth. and youngest, has fallen from his horse into the sea and drowned. Her response is that she is relieved that she won't have to worry about him any more. Heartbreaking to be so hardened to grief.
